Gun Violence Restraining Order (GVRO) Community Outreach

The County of Marin, through the Office of the District Attorney, invites qualified organizations and contractors to submit proposals for services funded by the Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program (SCIP) – Cohort 2 Grant.

The Marin County District Attorney’s Office has been awarded a two-year federal grant (8/1/2025-7/31/2027) from BSCC- Byrne State Crisis Intervention Program to reduce Marin firearm suicide rates and to provide outreach and training to the local community about Gun Violence Restraining Orders (GVROs). 

The Marin County District Attorney's Office is seeking a proposal from Marin County community-based organizations to accomplish the following two goals by July 31, 2027: 
     1) Participate in one train-the-trainer program 
     2) Conduct three GVRO trainings

Funding is available for eight organizations, for up to $5,000 per organization, to accomplish these two goals.
